Internet poker has become globally acclaimed lately, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years numerous variations on the original poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no concealment or different types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up just before the croupier broadcasting "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the house and of course all of the other players attain five cards. After you have observed your hand and the dealer’s first card, you need to in turn make a call wager or give up. The call bet’s value is equal to your beginning wager, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your wager goes directly to the house. After the bet is the face off. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, with a figure on par with the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The casino pays money even with your initial bet and controlled odds on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
