Double-hand Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Based on the ancient Chinese tile game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the west in a great game for new players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the house, unlike the majority of other poker games that players compete with other gamblers. By competing against the dealer, beginning players don’t need to worry about any other, more experienced individuals taking their $$$$.

One more Pai Gow advantage is the fairly slow game pace, novices are able to take their time and scheme while not having to make quick decisions.

It is also easier to bet on for an extended time with just a little bit of money seeing as, to not win, both of your hands must be under each of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card common deck and a single joker. The player is given seven cards face up and the dealer is dealt seven cards face down.

A five card hand and one 2 card hand must be made from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand has to be better than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be better than the casino’s.
